Kareena Kapoor is all set to play the character of Julia Roberts in the remake of The Stepmom. The movie will be made under the banner of Dharma Productions. She will be seen in a completely new avatar. For the first time she intends to cut short her hair for the movie. Her look will also be very different taking into account that she will be the one playing the stepmom whereas Kajol plays the mom.

Doing the costumes for her in the movie will be Manish Malhotra, both of them are working on the look. Both of them are excited and intend to do something different in terms of look and costumes. Unlike in Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Kareena will have much greater screen time with Kajol and much more confrontational scenes.

Now she recently spoke to her fans and supporters saying that she was all fine and she was just down with viral infection. She made the statement after there was a rumor saying that there was a swine flu scare on the sets while they were shooting abroad. She also revealed that her movies 3 Idiots and Jehaad took much longer to complete than what she had expected.

It took around a hundred days to complete the principal part of the shoot. The movies also took a lot more out of her in terms of energy and performance. She will play Saif Ali Khan’s wife in the movie Jehaad and in 3 Idiots she will plays the love interest of Aamir Khan in the movie.
