After Mattel signed Katrina Kaif as the face of Barbie in India, Aishwarya Rai might have surely felt a little bit disappointed. The reason the deal was offered to Katrina because Aish had other professional commitments due to which she could not go ahead with the deal. Now there seems to be another story that is coming up. According to this Mattel never approached Aish instead they wanted Katrina from day one.

However, we all know that Mattel offered Aish the opportunity of becoming the face of Barbie in India in the year 1994 when she won the Miss Universe crown but then also she had declined the offer. Katrina seems to be taking a lot of stuff that belonged to Aish. She has the deal with Mattel, she has replaced Aish as the brand ambassador of a popular jewellery brand and Aish is now the number one actress in Bollywood a spot that earlier belonged to Aish.

Katrina is also having a number of releases lined up. There is New York alongside Neil Nitin Mukesh and John Abraham. Then there is a movie Rajneeti that is being directed by Prakash Jha and in the movie, she will be portraying a leader of a political party. Her role seems to have been inspired by congress president Sonia Gandhi. She is also having a movie alongside Ranbir Kapoor titled Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahani.

Apart from the movies, she recently managed to visit Acorn Foundation that is a NGO working to support poor children. Spending time with them would have felt good and she would have made the day of the children who had a chance to meet their star.
