Bollywood family romantic drama, Aap Ki Parchaaiyaan, directed by Mohan Kumar and written by Ram Swaroop Kapila was released in the year 1964. The movie starred Dharmendra and Supriya Chaudhary in lead roles while Nasir Hussain, Mumtaz begum, Vijaylaxmi, Leela Chitnis, Shashikala, Santosh Kumar, Brahm Bhardwaj and Om Prakash also played important characters in the film. The melodious music of the movie was directed by the legendary music director Madan Mohan while the songs were rendered by Mohammed Rafi, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle etc.

Dinanath Chopra ( Nasir Hussain ) is living alongwith his wife and two sons, Baldev ( Suresh ) and Chandramohan ( Dharmendra ). Dinanath has inherited money from a money lender in order to get Baldev study further to become a doctor. He also get him married to a beautiful and wealthy girl named Rekha ( Shashikala ). Chandramohan is studying in a college and is in love with a beautiful girl named Asha ( Supriya Chaudhary ). Baldev and Rekha moves out of the house to live in their seperate house.

Destiny strikes and Dinanath looses his eyesight in an accident. Chandramohan then decides to go out of town to look for employment. Rekha and Baldev returns to the house and uses the situation to their own benefits. They finally throws out Dinanath and his wife from the house. Chandramohan returns but get shocked with the absence of his father and mother.
