Abhay Deol to play second fiddle

For the first time in his career, Abhay Deol will be playing a second fiddle. In all his movies, so far he has been the central character and has had major share of the screen time. In the upcoming movie Ayesha in which she shares the screen space with Sonam Kapoor, she will be the one getting all the attention. The movie has been produced by Anil Kapoor and is bases on the novel Emma written by Jane Austen.

His character in the movie will be that of Mr. Knightly from the novel. He will play a very rich and a well-groomed man but who cares what male actors look like. The movie will be an all out romantic but it will be told from the point of view of Sonam and not Abhay. Besides Abhay, two more males will be playing leads namely Cyrus Sahukar and Arunoday Singh.

Abhay is happy playing the second fiddle saying that it feels nice when there is someone else who is spending more time than what you do on the sets of the movie that is from the actors in the movie. Abhay was in New York for quite some time, which has now become like second home to him. He will be here in Mumbai in the month of June and is planning to make the most of his visit.

He will be opening his production house and then he is finished with the script of his next movie. After all taking the back seat might not do him a lot of harm after all those performances he put in the movies like Socha Na Tha, Oye Lucky Lucky Oye and Dev D.
