Akshay Kumar pulled off a blinder with his looks in the movie Singh Is Kinng. The look in the movie did it for him and the movie was hugely successful. Although the movie ran into a bit of trouble, more actors will be wearing the look of a Sardar in their movies. Ranbir Kapoor will follow suite in his next movie where he plays the character of Rocket Singh. He is apparently the salesman of the year in the movie.

Saif Ali Khan will be seen experimenting with his looks in his movie Love Aaj Kal that happens to be his first home production. He will be seen wearing a turban and acting as a Sardar although only for a minor in the movie. Manmohan Singh who is renowned filmmaker is happy with the change. He says earlier a man wearing a turban only used to do comedy but now he can be seen playing the lead roles.

The trend seems to be catching up with more and more actors trying the look. Amitabh Bachchan, Sunny Deol, Ajay Devgan and Salman Khan are the other actors who have wore the turban in movies. The look is helping to promote to Punjabi values and culture worldwide. There is no part in the world where you would not find a Sikh.

Labh Janjua who sang the song Jee Karda is also happy with change. Jasbir Jassi and Amrinder Gill have gone on the record saying that they will be more tha happy to wear a turban in a movie. Looks like Singh is truly the King both on screen and at the heart.
