Now much has been said and written about the comments that Ashutosh Gowariker made when Priyanka Chopra was given the award for the best actress at IIFA for her performance in the movie Fashion. Ashutosh said that Aishwarya deserved to win the award and openly criticized the jury on the stage. He also mentioned the name of Jaya Bachchan in his short speech.

Now hen some people approached her and talked to her she spilled the beans. She said that while they were chatting that is she and Ashutosh why Aishwarya Rai was not given any award for her performance in the movie Jodha Akbar where she literally lived her charcter of the queen while she was doing the shoot. Jaya egged Ashutosh on to go and say something about this.

Jaya Ji is the only one so far who has given the clean chit to Ashutosh and who seems convinced that what he did was not wrong. She also said that Priyanka is a good actress and she had no problem with her winning the award. It is just that why Aish is being ignored for her performance. I have watched Dostana and she was terrific in that movie.

I have not watched Fashion but she must have been good to won the awards she said. She ended by saying that Kiran Deohans who was the cinematographer in the movie Jodha Akbar and Aish deserved to have their share of recognition for the work that they put in. However, in the end only one can win the award amongst the so many good performers who are nominated.
