Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was first approached by ace filmmaker Karan Johar for performing the female lead in his forthecoming flick titled Dostana. But Aishwarya refused to play that character in the film and hence Priyanka Chopra was roped in by Karan.

According to the sources, Aishwarya was expected to play an American slut in the movie and hence refused Karan’s offer straightaway. She was supposed to romance three different people on bed in the film.

The actors who are now doing the lead roles in the film are Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham and Priyanka Chopra. Aishwarya was supposed to play Abhishek’s girlfriend who starts dating with his close friend John. And after John she goes to another man Bobby Deol.

Aishwarya was required to do some steamy scene in the film and hence decided to leave the project. After her refusal, the role goes in Priyanka Chopra’s kitty who is happy enough after bagging that role.
