Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been offered the role of Yashodhara in an international project titled Buddha. She will be playing the role of Siddhartha’s wife in this English-Hindi bilingual movie.

The movie will be based on the life of Prince Siddhartha. The movie will show how Siddhartha renounced the world, became a monk and attained nirvana to become Gautama Buddha. Aish was last seen in Ashutosh Gowariker’s Jodha Akbar opposite Hrithik Roshan.

Director of spiritual and crossover films, Pan Nalin offered the role to Aishwarya. However nothing has been said from Aishwarya’s side till now. But it is expected that Aishwarya will do the prescribed role.

Aishwarya is getting more offers from hollywood filmmakers as compared to bollywood. And this film will add another feather in the wings of Aishwarya so that she would be able to fly at more height.
