Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif have been paired up many a times on the silver screen and they have given us a movie to remember each time now they try to extend their team success in other fields. They have apparently been chosen as the brand ambassadors of the national games scheduled to take place in the city of Jharkhand. These will be the 34th National Games and the event starts from 21 November.

R.K. Aanand who is the president of Jharkhand Olympic Association informed the media that the pair of Akki and Kat will be present at the inaugural ceremony and as well as on the closing ceremony. Now they will be the face of the event, as they will have their photo on the posters for the event. Now if you thought all this was for charity think again as they are being paid a huge sum of four crores just for promoting the event and attending the inaugural and closing ceremony.

The question to also ask at this point would be would not have been it better if they chose Mahendra Singh Dhoni to promote the event as he comes from the city of Jharkhand and is the local hero. The association answer saying that he will also be invited for the ceremonies but it would have been much better if he were the brand ambassador being a sportsman rather than going for actors from Bollywood.

The games were schedules to originally take place in Jharkhand in 2007 however, the things kept on being delayed multiple times as the infrastructure required was not in place.
