With Akshay Kumar’s movie Kambakkht Ishq crossing the 100 crore mark in the first week itself the talks of him making claim to the number one spot have gain resurfaced. After his two movies Chandni Chowk To China and 8X10 Tasveer earlier in the year flopped there were reports saying that his success in the last couple of years was temporary and that he was not meant to stay on the top for long.

Akshay has now come out and said that he never wanted the number one spot. He is happy being a clown and he has no dream of being crowned as a king. All he wants to do is go out and entertain his fans and if he does that, he will be happy. He is content with what he has and is happy living like this. I have and will always belong to the ring and never intend to stand on the podium.

The movie now has registered one of the most successful openings any movie has ever seen. Akshay has come down heavily on the critics who completely ripped apart his movie. He recently said that the critics to him were like tax collectors who he wished never existed but they did. He also said that he just could not go out there and out a gun to their head asking for good reviews.

However, he asked the audiences to trust their judgment and not stop themselves from watching a movie just because some critic disliked it. The audiences have given their verdict and Akshay has once aging proved his worth at the box office and in the end that is what matters the most and not the reviews by the critics.
