Akshay Kumar in an interview recently expressed his desire to do some romantic movies now. He started as an action hero and then moved over to the comedy genre which worked for him big time and some of his most successful movies are comedy flicks. He seems to have got bored of doing those rib-ticking comedies over and over again and is confident that the next movies he signs are going to be romantic ones.

The only romantic movie that he has been a part of that comes to mind is Dhadkan and that was released about eight years back. He also revealed what he believed was the mantra to success. He said that it is all about working hard, being punctual and being a producers’ actor. We have heard the term director’s actor but what he meant by saying producer’s actor was that you save them money by completing the schedules on time.

He said that there was a time when he gave multiple flops but the producers still signed him because he was wrapping up movies in the given time frame. He also said that script is very important. Some of them work and some do not. He said that he loved his performance in Tasveer 8X10 and Chandni Chowk To China but both of them flopped and that can happen and the vice versa is true.

A bad movie can do well as has happened with him. He also touched the feet of his parents every morning before leaving for work, as he believes that the success lies at their feet. Many people have believed this and have found success after that.
