Akshay Kumar has not had a very good time. His movies have not being doing well at the box office. Things shave taken a dramatic turn for him this year with all his movies doing average or below average business. His last movie Tasveer 8X10 that was his attempt at science fiction also flopped despite the fact that there was no competition at the box office due to the ongoing tussle between multiplex owners and the producers.

Akshay also had the unbuttoning controversy and Twinkle Khanna was dragged into it. He has left all that back and he is thinking that he will have a change of fortune with his next release. Though he did not intend to participate in this year IPl but he landed up in SA just for a single match. He has no commitment to Delhi Daredevils this year.

While he team he was cheering was playing against the team of Preity Zinta with whom he is very goods friends. The two of them also seemed to catch up in between the match. After the match, he headed straight to Singapore where he joined the crew of De Dhana Dhan. He is filming the remaining portion of the movie along with Priyadarshan.

The actor was recently seen joking that he has always had a Darshan around him whether it was Suneel and Dharmesh Darshan or Priyadarshan. He has had project with one of them throughout his career. He even asked his friend Vipul Shah to change his name to Vipul Darshan. Vipul will be directing him in Action Replay and Aishwarya Rai will be paired opposite Akshay.
