With Kambakkht Ishq it looks like that Akshay Kumar is back to his old days with the audiences filling up the theatres. The movie was released on close to 2030 screens worldwide. The movie is heading to collections close to 100 crores in the first week itself. All this despite the fact that the critics have completely written off the movie giving it very poor ratings.

It was said that the movie was vulgar and offensive but Akshay has come out defending the movie saying that it is a family entertainer. There are words like dogs and bitch used in the movie but these are the words that are used commonly these days. In the beginning itself it says battle of the sexes so there are going to some intense arguments. Earlier also his movies like Singh Is Kinng and Welcome have done well despite all odds.

He says that the only verdict that counts is that of the audiences and the collections at the box office. If we go by that, he will be a happy man after seeing the opening collections of the movie. When asked whether he would allow his son to watch the movie he replied back saying that he had in fact already watched it and enjoyed in very much along with his naani Ms. Dimple Kapadia.

Akshay also said that he felt bad when his movies flopped. The failure of Chandni Chowk To China hurt a lot as he had put a lot into the movie. Instead of pointing out all the small errors in the movie, the critics should take it cooly and enjoy the movie. He had recently asked the critics to hold back their reviews until Monday to give the movie some breathing time.
