This year the IIFA awards will have to without Akshay Kumar. He has refused their proposal to do a performance on the awards night. Leave alone performance Akshay did not even bulge to attend the show. The reason for his stubborn act is the fact that he will be going on a month long vacation with his son Aarav and his wife Twinkle Khanna. The vacations were planned well in advance and in no way was he going to disappoint his son.

Aarav was having his summer vacation in the month so Akshay sat down with Twinkle and planned the entire itenary for their vacations that included the places they will be visiting and their staying hotels. Akshay was even putting in the extra hours so that the time off would not affect his movies schedule. An option for the organizers would have been to have Macau on Akshay’s itenary, which did not happen.

Therefore, the event will go on without Akshay and with or without Akshay there will be no shortage of stars on the award night. Having Akshay would have just added to the glamour. Akshay after coming back from vacations will have a heavy schedule ahead of him. He will for the first time in his career sport long hair in the movie Action Replay in which he will be sharing the screen space with Aishwarya Rai.

Vipul Shah will direct the movie and Akshay will be seen wearing a wig. An interesting fact related to the movie is that there will be no action in the movie despite the name being Action Replay.
