Holi songs are always been one of the extremely essential part of bollywood movies right from the start. Who can forget the famous Are jaa re hat natkhat from the movie Navrang which truely depicted all the moods of Holi in it. There was a time when every other bollywood film had a holi song in it.

Many of the hindi songs based on the festival of Holi, shows the different shades and moods of this ocassion through the medium of movie. A touch of folk element in the Holi songs always created history in terms of generating mass appeal. Even today no holi celebration is considered complete without Amitabh Bachchan’s famous track Rang barse bheege chunar waali from the movie Silsilay.

Even BaadshahShahrukh Khan also did the holi stuff in one of his films right in the early days of his career. The famous Ang se ang lagana of Darr also managed to create an impact in the mind of people for a long time. Khiladi Akshay Kumar alongwith sizzling Priyanka Chopra also performed Let’s play holi song in the movie Waqt- A Race Against Time.

The frequency of holi songs in hindi movie may have been reduced of late but still we have a lots of holi songs to enjoy. Recently, Anil Kapoor was spotted celebrating Holi on the location of his latest film Black & White in Mumbai.
