Bollywood superstar, Amitabh Bachchan, was born on october 11, 1942 in Allahabad. He is the son of a renowned Hindi poet named Harivansh Rai Bachchan and mother Teji Bachchan. He did his graduation from Nainital’s Sherwood College in Arts stream. He then also attended Mithibai College of Delhi University to complete his degree in Bachler Of Science. he always wanted to make a career in acting and even gave up his job in a shipping firm for fullfilling his dream. He is married to former bollywood actress, Jaya Bachchan and have two children, Abhishek Bachchan and Shweta Nanda. Former miss world and beautiful bollywood actress, Aishwarya Rai, is married to his son, Abhishek.

Amitabh started off his acting career in the year 1969 with a movie titled Saat Hindustani. He managed to won National Film Award for Best Newcomer for his fine performance in the film. Action thriller, Zanjeer, established Bachchan as the angry young man of the bollywood industry. He rise to fame with his action image in several films. He also appeared in a comedy flick titled Bombay To Goa but the movie failed to get any kind of success at the box office. Later he did many hit movies like Parvarish, Parwana, Zameer, The Great Gambler etc. His comic venture in the evergreen flick, Amar Akbar Anthony, was highly appreciated by the audience as well as critics.

At the time of the release of Yash Chopra’s romantic saga, Silsila, it was rumoured that Amitabh has an affair with beautifully actress, Rekha. After that movie, Amitabh never did any film alongwith Rekha in his career. Amitabh then entered in politics also for a period of three years. He faced financial crisis due to the failure of his comany ABCL. He made a super comeback with a television game show, Kaun Banega Crorepati. He then returned to movies and did some very good movies likes Mohabbatein, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gum. Even at the age of 60 years, he played the leading man in the romantic flick, Nishabd. His soon to be released flick is Aladin in which he is playing the role of a Genie.
