Amol Gupte who left a mark on the minds of the audiences with his performance in the movie Kaminey has finally gone ahead and cut short his long locks. The way in which he portrayed the character of Bhope Bhau the Marathi goon was nothing short of excellent. He believes that the reasons he got the role might have to do a lot with his looks besides the 27 years of experience he had in industry and theatre.

The look he carried matched the one that Vishal Bhardwaj had imagined while scripting the movie. Now having that long hair for the look was getting to him and soon after the release, he has gone in for an image makeover of sorts and come out with shortened locks. He recently invited Shahid Kapur, Vishal and Sriram Raghavan to M.E.T College in Bandra where the children of his school Aseema screened their first movie, which was ten minutes long.

The school is for impermanent slum children and they themselves chose the tile of the movie as Aansoon Bane Moti. Now everyone was impressed with their skills and M.E.T College from now on will even allow them to use their editing equipments from now on. They will soon start their next movie. Shahid has pledged his support and help to the children in whatever way possible.

He has in his career done a movie with children titled Vaah Life Ho Toh Aisi. He was also a part of the movie Paathshala dealing with child issues like education.teh kids of Aseema now also become the only adolescent filmmakers in the country.
