The Filmfare award bight is the one when all the stars come to meet on a common ground to see who will take home the award. They come all dressed up for the occasion. Ranbir Kapoor and Imraan Khan hosted this years’ awards.SRK was not available this year to host as he is nursing his shoulder at home hosted the show. The night saw performances from the likes of Magik Band, Bipasha, Abhishek Bachchan, Shahid Kapoor and many more.

The award for the best director went to Ashutosh Gowariker for Jodhaa Akbar whereas Hrithik won the best actor award for the same movie. The award for the best actress went to Priyanka Chopra for her role in the movie Fashion. Asin won the best debutant female whereas Farhan Akhtar and Imraan khan shared the award for the best debutant male. Om Puri was honored with the lifetime achievement award.

Arjun Rampal won the award for the Best Supporting Actor for his role in Rock On whereas Kangana Ranaut won the Best Supporting Actress for her role in the movie Fashion. A.R.Rahman won the Best Music Director and Javed Akhtar won the award for the Best Lyricist. A.R.Rahman also won his second award for the night for best music score in the movie Jodhaa Akbar. Sukhwinder Singh and Shreya Ghoshal won the award for the best singers in the male and female category respectively.

The awards were a success and the night was a one to remember for the people in attendance over there. All the award winners where happy that their hard work was being appreciated by the audiences and the jury.
