Anurag Basu recently came out with the clarification that the movie Kites will have the same scenes in both the Hindi and English versions. The only difference in the two versions will be the difference in the voice over done by Hrithik Roshan and the rest will be kept the same. He also added that some of the so called steamy were getting undue attention and the movie can do without that.

He is hopeful that the attention will not affect the movie in a negative way though. The voices will calm down by the time the movie makes it way to the theater somewhere around Diwali. He said that before he casted Barbara Mori for the role he had seen the kind of work she had done. He is more than willing to work with her in the future projects and has found a friend for life in her.

Barbara’s popularity saw an immense rise after the movie was premiered at Cannes. Everywhere she went she was mobbed with the fans asking for autographs and pictures. The reason the movie was not received very nicely by the people present over there was because of the fact that we showed them the unfinished version. There were no special effects or background music in the movie that we showed them.

He also cleared that why Kangana Ranaut was not the part of marketing of the movie. He says that she was never the lead in the movie and that fact was made clear to her at the time of signing and still she was keen on playing the part. He will immediately start his next project with UTV after this one gets over.
