Anushka Shankar who made her debut opposite Shahrukh Khan in the movie Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi seems to have disappeared after the successful start. The only time we saw her making an appearance was at the television show Knights and Angels in which she was a judge selecting the cheer girls for the Kolkata Knightriders team. Now she is again making news. Yashraj has signed her for yet another movie.

Shahid Kapoor will play the male lead in the movie. Parmeet Sethi will be directing this one. Yes, he is the same person who was seen in Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. The movie will also see pivotal roles being played by standup comedian Veer Das and the Indian Idol winner Meiyang Chang. The movie will revolve around these people and progress as their lives movies on.

When Parmeet was asked about this project, he said that it was still being finalized and that he would be able to divulge more details when Yashraj gives him the go ahead with the project. He refrained from making any comments regarding the plot and sticked to the clichéd statement that it was an unconventional and different movie.

Every director seems to think that his piece is distinct and a class apart from the rest and so does Parmeet. Maybe he is also a little superstitious that divulging out details so early might harm his project. With this movie, Anushka will get a chance to be in the limelight once more as last time she was overpowered by the Ghajini girl Asin. How the movie will shape up remains to be seen.
