Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai have been keeping a close eye on the health of their director Mani Ratnam. They are making sure that Mani does no exert more pressure on his body than what it can handle. Mani is currently shooting for the movie Raavana in which abhi and ash are playing the lead roles. The shoot is being done in Ooty.

Aish and Abhi are not shooting currently that is why they are receiving regular updates regarding the help of Mani from Shaad Ali who is assisting him in the direction. Shaad after assisting Mani in his early career went on to direct successful flicks like Saathiya, Bunty Aur Bubli and Jhoom Barabar Jhoom. He was back assisting him for this one movie.

The reason for all this is that Mani Ratan recently complained of difficulty in breathing and dizziness. After that, there was panic on sets, as all of them feared that he was having a third heart stroke. He was rushed to the hospital where he was then given the treatment. He had earlier suffered a heart stroke when he was filming the movie Yuva.

The film has been delayed a bit and abhishek is making sure that he handles all the work on the sets to relieve Mani sir of the burden. It was Mani Ratnam who gave Abhishek his first big break with Yuva and Aish worked with Mani in the movie Guru. They go back a long way and that is the reason why they care so much about the director.
