All of us are aware of the fact that Priyanka Chopra has played 12 entirely different roles in the movie What’s Your Rashee? Now Ashutosh Gowariker at the Toronto Film Festival finally answered the question that might have troubled all of you for so long. He was present over there along with Priyanka and Harman Baweja for the screening of their movie. The question was that why did he offer all the roles to Priyanka when there was the easier option of roping in 12 different actresses.

Ashutosh replied back saying that the movie has been adapted from the novel Kimball Ravenswood written by Madhu Rye. In the movie, NRI Yogesh Patel played by Harman meets 12 different women in order to find out who is the one for her to marry. If he failed to do so, something bad will happen t his family as predicted by an astrologer.

Out of the 165 girls who respond to his matrimony request he selects 12 of them whom he dates or so to say meets. He says that if all the roles would have been given to different actresses then the audiences would have formed a notion that Harman would marry the girl who was the fairest and most beautiful. So to avoid that, he made Priyanka appear in all the 12 roles so that the answer would not be based on beauty.

He feels that the movie is also about the empowered women of India. The movie also made him realize personalize how to treat different people as learning their sun signs ahs made him realize what may offend a person belonging to a specific zodiac sign.
