Now over the past few days there have been rumors doing the rounds that Asin might have replaced Aishwarya Rai in the movie Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Se. The ace director Ashutosh Gowariker would direct the movie. Abhishek Bachchan would play the male lead. Was Aish really replaced or is this another one of that baseless rumor with absolutely no facts to support it.

Ashutosh who is directing the movie made a statement and made things crystal clear once and for all. He said that he never approached Aish for the part and that is the reason she cannot be replaced by Asin because she was never there in the first pace. He says that he would have surely liked to have Aish playing the part but he knew that she had a jam packed schedule full of commitments and I no way would she be able to squeeze out dates for him. No point disturbing the dates diary and upsetting the entire set schedules.

He and abhishek both know her well and that is the reason they never bothered asking her to play the part. Another reason for not approaching her is that Ashu believes Aish is at her best when doing quintessential princely roles, no doubting her credential in other genres of cinema by any way. This will be another attempt be Ashutosh at a period movie. He has been successful in both his attempts so far with Lagaan and Jodha Akbar. 

The movie would be bases on the life of the Indian freedom fighter Surya Sen who was solely responsible for the struggle for independence from the British rule in the region of Chittagong now a part of Bangladesh.
