Many of us might be carrying the notion that Asin got her part in London Dreams because of her blockbuster debut in Bollywood with the movie Ghajini. Now Vipul Shah who has directed the movie London dreams came out clarifying that he signed on Asin even before the first promo of Ghajini was aired on screens.

He was looking for the right girl to caste in the charcter of Priya. He wanted a girl who was well versed with both classical and western from of dancing. He also wanted the girl to carry of that Iyer girl look and at the same time look as if she was born and brought up in London. When he saw the performance Asin had put in some of her south Indian movies he found the girl he was looking for and he knew his search was over.

He said while he was offering her the part he knew that it was a potential risky situation but after the release of Ghajini and after all those awards and accolades, he is certain that the decision he made was bang on correct. The risk that he took casting a newcomer alongside Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan paid off big time for him.

Asin plays the love interest of both Salman and Ajay in the movie and a music enthusiast who joins the band lead by Ajay. Will she carry of off from where she left off in the movie Ghajini remains to be seen? Getting back-to-back hits would be great for her career and there is nothing like getting the taste of success at the very start of your career although one must not forget the experience she has working in south Indian movies.
