Bhool Bhulaiya - Movie preview

Well, here we are, bringing an exclusive preview to the forthcoming Priyadarshan movie Bhool Bhulaiya, which stars some of the finest comic talents in Bollywood today, that’s Paresh Rawal, Rasika Joshi, and last but not the least, Akshay Kumar, whose comic timing has been much acclaimed in movies like Hera Pheri series, Garam Masala, and from the looks of it, even Heyy Babyy.

The film is a story set in a small village, whose residents are conservative and superstitious people. There is an ancestral palace in the village, which belongs to Badhi, played by Manoj Joshi, who heads a Brahmin family, and this ‘haveli’ is believed to be haunted. Soon, Siddharth played by Shiny Ahuja and Avni played by the beautiful Vidya Balan, the son and daughter-in-law of Badhi’s elder brother, pay a visit to their native village
after having returned from America, and plan to stay there for a month.

And as soon as Avni makes the ‘mistake’ of opening up a locked and forbidden room in the ancestral palace, strange and unexplainable things start happening in the palace. This is when Badhi and Batuk Shankar, the very talented Paresh Rawal, try to get rid of the evil haunting their mansion, by seeking help of everyone from a black magician to a ghost buster. Also, the blame is evenly put on Radha, characterised by Amisha Patel, who is the adopted daughter of Badhi. Finally, Akshay Kumar, who plays an American psychiatrist, enters the scenario as
Dr. Aditya Shrivastav, who is not just a friend of Siddharth but also makes use of modern techniques to find out who is the person behind all the mayhem. And so on, begins a turbulent ride as the film, in Priyadarshan’s trademark style, throws one surprise after another. Well, those who have seen the promos are very excited and even the background music used in the promo is top-notch. We hope this one turns out to be another Malamaal Weekly for the director, more so in the literal sense!

    then … priyan is known as copycat …. so thers nothin new in this …….
    this film in malayalam was a super duper hit…….. i mmyself watched this film 10 times….. then last year i saw chandramukhi………. it was a plain comedy show …………
    only good thing in it was the huge star cast…….. no good content … it was jus an inflated balloon……….
    now wonder how much the hindi version will turn out to be ……..
    but since vidya is acting in it .. v hav a little hope …….. but 1 thing is 4 sure

    no actress can eva ……. dance like the shobana…….. her dance in manichitrathazhu . was just exempalary………..
    also . the film was suspense filled……….

    anyways lets look ahead to the new BHOOL-BHULAIYA ….
    hope it wont turn out 2 be like its name .

    Hop BHOOL-BHULAIYA a remake of Malayalam hit vl make a big break in thots and nature of movie makers.Songs r quite good…realy Mere dol..song make sense in the climax cen’s.Shreya & M.G Sreekumar had sung nicely……..Let wait 4 d outcoming……

    When I saw “Manichitrathazhu” one of the classic movies of malayalam, I was filled with admiration for the whole crew especially the cast i.e., shobana, mohanlal etc & the directors (they were 5 of them which included Priyadarshan) and the writer madhu muttom who created such a fascinating story. But when I saw Chandramukhi, a couple of years back, it felt so horrible…….. can anybody make such a ridiculous copy of such a wonderful movie……..even Jyothika’s acting was not original, she miserably tried to copy Shobana, but failed. I was really happy that it is Priyadarshan, not P.vasu, who is trying to make a remake of the original mal movie to Hindi. Just waiting to see that, though I am not sure that anything would beat “manichitrathazhu”.
