Beautiful bollywood actress, Bhoomika Chawla, was born as Rachna on August 21, 1978 in New Delhi, India. Her pet name is Gudiya. Her family moved to Mumbai in the year 1997. She began her career with working in some ad films and music videos. Then she did a Tv serial Hip Hip Hurray. Her started her acting career with a Telugu film Yuvakudu in the year 2000. She did few more successful films in Tollywood industry before starting off her career in Bollywood film industry.

She starred opposite bollywood hunk Salman Khan in her very first bollywood film Tere Naam in the year 2003. The film did well at the box office and became one of the highest grossing film of that year. Her brilliant performance in the film in the role of a sweet and inncoent girl earned her first nomination for Filmfare Best Actress Award. While in her first film she portaryed the role of a simple-sweet girl, her second film titled Run picturised her in a glamorous role as well. She starred opposite Abhishek Bachchan in the film.

Later she once again starred opposite Salman Khan in a romantic movie Dil Ne Jise Apna Kaha. She did some flop films as well in the form of Silsilay, Dil Jo Bhi Kahey etc. Her next hit film came in the form of Akshay Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan starrer Family. She was next seen in critically acclaimed Akshay Khanna starrer Gandhi My Father. She got married to Bharat Thakur in the year 2007. Her last release was a Punjabi film titled Yaariyan opposite Gurdaas Maan.
