Amitabh Bachchan recalls that he first heard the name Jackson in the mid sixties when there used to be performers going by the name of The Jackson Five. A few years later one of those named Micheal became well known for his singing abilities and his agility while dancing. Big B says that he was close to the perfection that god created in the human beings. He personified the word impossible.

Amitabh first met him as an acquaintance in the year 1982. He was there in US recuperating from the injury that he suffered on the sets of the movie Coolie. He was consulting the doctors over there when he came to know that MJ was performing at a place nearby.He decided to experience the performance and his recalls that it was sheer madness.

In the nineties when the bib b was staying at the Helmsley Palace Hotel, he had a ring on his door. When he went ahead to open the door there standing right in front of him was the king of pop MJ. He had by mistake reached the wrong room. Amitabh recalls the soft voice and the pleasant conversation they had some time later.

The next time they never met but Amitabh would have felt his performance in Mumbai when he swept the crowds at the Andheri Sports Complex, which is close by his house Prateeksha. He would surely have felt the vibrations in his house though he did not attend the event.
