This Independence Day we might see two of the biggest releases of the year fight it out at the box office unless something is done to avoid the clash of release dates. Vipul Shah who is the director of London Dreams is concerned as starring in Blue is his friend Akshay. They are also doing business together so they would not want to harm each other professionally.

London dreams will see Ajay Devgan and Salman Khan in the lead roles. This is after a long time that he has done a movie without having his friend Akshay play the lead. Vipul has also been involved in talks with Raj Mehta so that the clash can be avoided. The problem they are facing is that both the movies want the extended weekend, as the movies will be a Thursday release and that on a national holiday, which helps to give a bigger opening to the movie.

Anthony D’Souza who is working round the clock to complete the work so that the movie is ready for release on 13 August. He thinks that London dreams will be releasing a week before but Vipul has confirmed that they will be releasing the movie on 14 August. With nobody backing off it, looks like the audiences will have a choice to make this Independence Day. However, there are some people saying that there is a large audience and that both the movies can still profit.

Vipul still sees some hope as he is hoping to count on Akshay and that the release of Blue will be preponed by a week.
