Dasavatharam was the biggest hit down south last year and the makers are now releasing the movie in Hindi after a gap of almost a year since the movie was released in Tamil and Telugu. The movie sees Kamal Hassan in the lead role and sharing the screen space with him are Mallika Sherawat and Asin. Asin gained a large amount of experience from this movie that helped her immensely during the shoot of her movie Ghajini that broke all box office records.

Asin has a huge fan following in south and now in the north also. In the movie, she plays a double role and in both roles, she plays a Brahmin girl. She plays a woman from the 12th century and then from the 21st century. The names of her characters in the movie are Kothai Radha and Andaal respectively. If Asin playing two roles was not enough Kamal Hassan will be seen portraying 10 different characters in the movie. This was the main USP of the movie when it was released last year.

In the movie, Kamal who plays a scientist loses a potentially dangerous weapon. An ex CIA agent and Kamal begin the hot pursuit to find the weapon first. The film was made with a huge budget but so far, it has stood the test of time and has had good box office collections. The film also has song by Himesh Reshamiya who has currently been out of the limelight.

The producers of the movie were quick to take advantage of the ongoing war between the multiplexes and film distributors. This move is bound to work in favor of Dasavatharam with less competition at the box office.
