Deepika Padukone is very much in news for her upcoming film Chandni Chowk to China. The movie is too much hyped, because in this movie she has a completely different look and her co-actor in this movie is none other than khiladi Akshay Kumar. Deepika is heard saying that in this movie, which is due to release on January 16, she is playing a double role. Her one look is Indian but her other look is that of a Chinese girl which is sure to draw audiences to the cinema theatres.

The task of making a typical Indian look like a Chinese girl was really difficult and the interesting thing lies in the fact that what was done to change her looks. When makeup experts were asked by director Nikhil Advani to give a slant look with sharpened edges to Deepika’s eyes, they came up with an idea of sticking tapes around her eyes. The actress was scared with the very idea as this could have harmed her eyes and even her doctor has the same view.

Thanks to Mallika Bhatt, a makeup artiste, who came to the rescue of Nikhil and suggested that the problem can be solved by using eye liner in a completely different manner. She used eye liner in a way so that Deepika’s eyes got that Chinese look and received no pain. Not only that, after achieving correct look, she had to go through 4 months rigorous training.

Deepika has really worked hard to go look according to the movie’s script but whether her hard work will pay off or not is a thing to watch for. So cross your hands and wait till January when all the mysteries will be revealed and we will come to know all the gossips behind the screen.
