Deepika Padukone has come a long way since her modeling days. Farah Khan first gave her the break in the movie Om Shanti Om and she was able to garner very good reviews for herself. It helps a great deal when you have Shahrukh Khan as your co-star in the movie. She then went on to do Bachna Ae Haseeno where she met her current boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor and they instantly hit it off.

Since that time, they have been in the news for their romance at the same time for their work also. Since the time they began dating there have been consistent reports of there being hard feeling between Ranbir’s mother Neetu Singh and Deepika. She appeared on the chat show Kahiye Janab and rubbished all those reports saying that if at all she had had something to say to her she would have said that directly to her.

Both of them were mature women and knew how media can cook up stories and then a baseless rumor can spread like fire in a forest. She also spoke of the relationship with Ranbir. She said that when they were together they never speak of work to each other. So strict are they about the rule that they sometimes are offered the same movie and yet they do not know about it.

The only movie that they have been a part of together is Bachna Ae Haseeno. Their professionalism can be seen from the fact that they meet the directors separately and read the script themselves and then finalize whether they are going to do a movie or not. That might very well be the reason why we do not see them being paired together more often.
