Shefali Shah was recently awarded with the national award for her performance in the movie Gandhi – My Father. However, the actor feels that she had put in a much better performance in her other movie. She was talking about her movie The Last Lear over here and she says that winning the award for that movie would have made her much happier as she deserved it for that one.

Now it is a huge achievement to be nominated for two performances in the first place and there is nothing more like it than to win it. However, after the win no one expects you to make comments like this that you should have won the award for other movie. The comments can easily leave a bad taste in the mouth of the makers of the movie Gandhi - My Father. Anil Kapoor himself produced the movie starring Akshay Khanna.

She says that in the movie The Last Lear her character movies from a young age to old and her she had to change all the emotions according to those setting which made it much more difficult. Personally for her older characters are easier to play. However, the movie Kuch Love Jaisa that is being directed by her husband Vipul will see her playing a character belonging to her own age and she is happy with that.

Vipul was offered the role of other man in Shefali’s life in the movie The Last Lear however he turned it down as he was in no mood of getting back to acting after giving it up a long time back on the stage.
