First, the movie Kaminey had to deal with the censor board when they were given A certificate for the movie. Now if they were thinking that their problems were over and the movie was a hit the producers of the movie find themselves in yet another controversy. This time it has to deal with a specific scene in the movie. While shooting the scene Vishal Bhardwaj would never have imagined that, a graffiti will cause so many problems.

In one of the scenes, Shahid Kapur after having a squabble with Priyanka Chopra goes inside the toilet and locks himself from inside. On the door of the toilet is a graffiti saying Apna Hath Jagannath and just below the graffiti is a picture of a semi naked woman. Now the scene has not at all gone down well with the Lord Jagannath devotees and in their protest, they burned down the posters of the movie.

The protest was lead by the Jagannath Sena Sangathan in Puri. A member of the group said that the makers had not shown Lord Jagannath in good light rather they have insulted him and the devotees. The owners of the theatres in Bhubaneswar took immediate action and deleted that scene from the movie to calm down the anger of the people.

The informed the distributors regarding the same. MLA Mr Maheswar Mohanty has asked the producers and the makers of the movie to make a public apology. He also promised that he will surely take up the matter with the state government and will ask them to have a talk with the producers and make them come out with an acceptable apology.
