Dhoom, directed by Sanjay Gadhvi, was a blockbuster film released on August 27, 2004. The movie starred John Abraham, Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra in lead roles while gorgeous sexy lads, Esha deol and Rimi Sen, played female lead in the film. The superhit music of the movie was given by Pritam. The movie was made in the budget of just 7 crores rupees but it earned a total of around Rs. 55 crores in the end. The sequel to Dhoom was Dhoom 2, which was the bigger hit and released in the year 2006.

The movie starts With a gang of high speed motorcyclists which dissappears in the streets of Mumbai after making robbery at different places. Kabir ( John Abraham ) is the leader of the gang. A special officer, ACP Jai Dixit ( Abhishek Bachchan ), is then called for solving the case. He seeks help of a bike racer, Ali ( Uday Chopra ), who always dream about beautiful girls, for catching those thiefs. He devises a trap to catch the thieves, but fails.

Kabir taunts and challenge Jai that he will never be able to catch him anyhow. Jai accepts the challenge. Kabir tells him about the place where he is going to do the next robbery. Jai once again fails to catch the thiefs and blames Ali for that. Kabir then asks Ali to join his gang in place of Rohit, his gang member who was killed by Jai during the last robbery. Later Ali came to know about Sheena ( Esha Deol ), another gang member of Kabir, who betrayed him several times in past. Is Ali really going to do robbery with Kabir’s gang or is helping Jai in catching the gang red handed.
