Emraan Hashmi has seen his house turned into a fortress since her made the allegation that he had been denied an apartment in the Pali Hill area just because he is a Muslim. All the security is just a precautionary measure and he is patiently waiting for the Minorities Commission to take the required steps.

He understands that the complaint that was files against him was a threat telling him to back off but the issue is not a personal one for him anymore and he is ready to fight until the very end to find a solution for this problem. He says that the religious profiling is a dual way process and he very well knows that a Hindu might be refused a home in a Muslim dominated area but the if things like these happen how can we call out state a democratic one.

There has been shortage of support for him though form the industry apart from his uncle Mahesh Bhatt who has openly voiced his concerns. The society people in the meanwhile have been shuffling their stories back and forth. Some say the reason for denial is his image as a serial killer while some say that they denied him the apartment after his parents barged in and misbehaved at a society meet.

Emraan says that the accusation made on his family is false and he will gain nothing from this publicity, as he has no movie lined up for release. He is at present shooing for Once Upon A Time In Mumbai, which is a long way away from the scheduled release. Ekta Kapoor is producing the movie.
