Farhan Akhtar could not have asked for a better start as an actor in the Bollywood. He gave us two super hits last year in the form of Rock On and Luck By Chance. In both the movies, his character had a serious look. In Rock On, he played the lead singer of a band whereas in Luck by chance he played a person struggling to get his break in the Bollywood. Now he will be trying his hand at comedy in his next movie.

Kartik Calling Kartik is supposed to be a lighthearted comedy. Farhan Akhtar and Deepika Padukone will play the lead roles. Boman Irani will also be seen at his usual best. The actor said that he was sub consciously selecting all the roles with a serious look to the character but now he has decided to give it a break and try his hand at some comedy. He will be stepping into unknown territory with this movie. The actor has until now had a successful run and will be hoping to continue on that.

The shoot for the movie is scheduled to begin in the starting of April. He says that he is also planning to launch a music album once he gets a break from the movies. He will start to work on it once he thinks that he can completely concentrate on the album and nothing else. He also ended his very successful stint on the small screen. His show Oye its Friday was very popular amongst the audiences.

He says that the experience so far has been very enriching and that he is looking at the road ahead in his life.
