Gayatri Patel is a newcomer on the block and is making waves for her dancing skills. Luckily, for her in her first movie Let’s Dance she plays a dancing teacher. She says the movie is a God’s gift to her. She wants to make a name for herself not only for her dancing skill set but also for her acting. This fact can be well understood when you ask her about her favorite female actors.

It includes the likes of Vyjayantimala, Madhuri Dixit and Waheeda Rehman who were all wonderful actors and at the same great dancers. She has a long way to go before she gets her name in that league but she has taken the first step with her movie getting some reviews and she especially getting a pat on the back for her performance.

In the movie, she inspires some young people on her way to fame. At the start of the movie, her charcter in the movie is not sure about her goals in life. Her father Dr Arvind Patel has produced the movie. Gayatri started to dance at the age of seven and won a dancing competition three years in a row until it was closed.

She did her schooling in the US and won herself the Miss India-Georgia title while she was doing her studies in the University of Atlanta. She is professionally trained in kathak a dancing style that she also used in hip- hop and western dance forms. Being brought up in the US, she is also good at ballet and jazz. With so many forms of dancing in her resume, she might think of turning into a choreographer.
