Rani Mukherji and Preity Zinta might be out of work these days thanks to Genelia D’ Souza who made it big in Bollywood with Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na starring opposite Imraan Khan. Now all the big banners are approaching her with scripts and the veterans like Preity and Rani are left with no good scripts. The effect can be seen from the number of movie releases they have had recently or from the kind of roles that they have been offered.

Genelia on the other hand has no shortage of roles after her initial struggle. She debuted with the movie Tujhe Meri Kasam and then was seen in the movie Masti opposite Ritesh Deshmukh. Both the movies failed to leave mark on the audiences and she had to go down south to keep her career afloat. However, things have changed dramatically after Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na and her career graph has seen a sharp rise.

Even the advertisements that used to see the likes of Rani and Preity have gone to Genelia. Genelia has signed on a number of deals recently and latest one being with Fanta. She has also been seen in the Fanta apple television commercial. Rani earlier promoted the brand Fanta. Now the news that is doing the rounds is that Genelia will soon be replacing Preity in the Perk ad campaign.

She is also starring in a movie beside John Abraham and has signed the deal to endorse the brands like Dabur Vatika hair oil and Fair and Lovely cream. Not good signs for Rani and Preity. Preity his having some alternatives but Rani might have to start looking beyond the Yashraj camp from now on.
