GOAL: A Preview
For a nation so smitten by sport, there are very less films made on it… Vivek Agnihotri’s next Goal — with John Abraham, Bipasha Basu, Arshad Warsi & Boman Irani — is about a group of footballers aiming at a revival. The major issues that were reported were a visa problem when most of the team landed up at the airport only to discover that a majority of the visas had not been sorted out. Also, there were problems with the characters’ designs and they were asked to say some objectionable things that were completely out of the context of the film. Then there was a reported conflict between John Abraham and Arshad Warsi.
John kept the crew waiting on the sets and Arshad does the same and poor Vivek is the victim of this ‘Cold Star War’. Later Bipasha Basu was also added to the incident that she behaved rudely to Arshad. Arshad also moved out of the hotel in London where the crew was staying, and moved into an apartment. Reports quote Agnihotri as saying that during some shootings the white Londoners used to make comments about the skin color of Indians and called some members of the shooting team ‘bloody Indians’. The release date hasn’t been finalised yet but its expected to reach the screens soon. Lets hope it does well and doesn’t face hiccups as it faced while its making.
