The singers divulges the reasons and says that with the competition growing by the day the composers have themselves turned into playbacks singers . He holds no grudges against them, as he knows that they are looking after their own interests. They know the real moolah is from concerts so they are composing songs, which suit their voice quality. That is one reason and the other one is that he at this point of time in his career wants to do quality work.

The songs that he is being offered are nothing matched to the ones he has already sung. These are songs, which remain popular or heard for a month or two and then they disappear. He is happy with doing quality work as that also gives him more time for himself and his life. Gone are the days when he used to shuffle back and forth between recording studios singing 11 songs a day.

He also revealed that he signed on for Chiggy Wiggy in the movie Blue just because of Rahman. He never knew that Kylie Minogue would be doing the song with him.
