Jackie Shroff and Zeenat Aman starrer family drama flick, Haathon Ki Lakeerien, was released in the year 1986. The movie was directed by Chetan Anand. The other starcast of the movie includes Sanjeev Kumar, Shubha Khote, Dina Pathak, Bharat Kapoor, Priya Rajvansh, Kankana Mukherjee, Bela Shelke,Ram lal and Sudhir Dalvi in significant characters. The melodious music of the movie was composed by the music director Pyare Mohan while the songs were crooned by Mahendra kapoor, Alka Yagnik, Jatin Pandit etc.

Geeta ( Zeenat Aman ) is living a poor lifestyle alongwith his mother. Her mother works as a nurse in the hospital run by Dr. Bhanu Pratap ( Sanjeev Kumar ). Geeta works as a singer and dancer in a hotel. She meets with young and handsome guy named Lalit Mohan Singh ( Jackie Shroff ) and falls in love with him. Lalit to falls in love with her. Lalit belongs to a very wealthy family. Lalit and Geeta gets intimate with each other on a stormy night. They both then decides to get married but Lalit’s father is against this marraige.

Lalit is forcefully send to abroad by his afther. Geeta gets pregnant with a child and her mother get shocked to reveal this. Geeta gives birth to a child but her mother tells her that the child was born lifeless. After few months, Lalit’s father passes away and he returns to India. He meets with Geeta and offers to get married to her. Soon they both get married to each other. Geeta becomes pregnant again and gives birth to a lifeless child. Doctor tells Lalit that Geeta will not be able to concieve again.
