Bollywood musical action war drama, Haqeeqat, directed by Chetan Anand was released in the year 1964. The movie starred Dharmendra and Indrani Mukherjee in lead roles while Balraj Sahni, Vijay Anand, Jayant, Jagdev, Chand Usmani, Achala Sachdev, Sudhir and Nasreen also played significant characters in the film. The melodious music of the movie was directed by none other than the legendary music director Madan Mohan while the songs were beautifully sung by Mohammed Rafi, Talat Mehmood, Manna Dey, Lata Mangeshkar etc.

The entire movie revloves around a war and few soldiers named Ram Singh ( Sudhir ), Ranjit Singh ( Balraj Sahni ), Major Pratap Singh ( Vijay Anand ) and Captain Bahadur Singh ( Dharmendra ). They all are determined to protect the border at any cost if enemy tries to cross the border. Captain Bahadur Singh is in love with a beautiful girl named Angmo, who is a village belle. He is planning to get married to her in near future and has already taken permission for her parents for their marriage.

But problem arises when the enemy tries to cross the border and attacks on Indian soldiers. Indian soldiers also fight back. But they are less in numbers as compared to the enemy troops. They all then decides to fight with their full strength till they die. However they all knows that no one of them will survive at the end of war. The movie depicts the life tough lives of soldiers and the bad consequences of war.
