Bollywood action packed romantic thriller, Haseena Maan Jayegi, directed by Prakash Mehra was released in the year 1968. The movie starred Shashi Kapoor and Babita Kapoor in lead roles while Yunus Parvez, D. . Sapru, Brahm Bhardwaj, Manmohan krishna, Johnny Walker, Niranjan Sharma, Hari Shivdasani and Hari Kapoor also played significant characters in the film. The hit melodious music of the movie was given by the evetran music director duo Kalyanji Anandji while the songs were beautifully sung by Mohammed Rafi, Manna dey, Lata mangeshkar and Asha Bhonsle.

Young and handsome, Kamal ( Shashi Kapoor ) is living a simple lifestyle. He is a soldier in the army. He come across a beautiful firl named Archana ( Babita Kapoor ). Soon they both fall in love with each other. They then decides to get married. Soon they both get married to each other. But just after few days of their marriage, Kamal is called back to join the duty. Kamal does so and takes part in the war. While reparing for the war, he meets with his look alike named Rakesh ( Shashi Kapoor ). Rakesh is planning to kill Kamal so that he take his place and get into a comfortable life alongwith Archana.

Kamal reveals about his intentions. A fight happens between the two and Kamal ends up killing Rakesh. He then returns to Archana leaving the war front. Army officials gets supicious about kamal’s absence and investigate about it. They gets the dead body of Rakesh and assumes that Kamal is dead now. Archana is also informed about Kamal’s death by army. Now Archana get shocked to learn about Kamal’s death as Kamal has been with her from quite few days. What will she do now?
