Sooraj R. Barjatya’s Hum Aapke Hain Kaun starred beautiful Madhuri Dixit and Salman Khan in lead roles. The music of the film was given by the duo Ram-laxman. The movie was one of the biggest grossers ever in the history of Hindi Cinema. The other actors who performed important roles in the movie were Mohnish Behl, Renuka Shahane, Reema Lagoo, Anupam Kher and Laxmikant Berde. The movie also won the Filmfare Best Film Award in the year 1994.

The film is all about two lovers Prem ( Salman Khan ) and Nisha ( Madhuri Dixit ). Their older siblings Rajesh ( Mohnish Behl ) and Pooja ( Renuka Sahane ) get married. During their marriage, Prem and Nisha also falls in love with each other. Prem tells his bhabhi, Pooja about his love for Nisha. But before she can tell anyone about this, she falls down the stairs and dies. Now Pooja’s family decides to get Rajesh married to Nisha so that his son will get mother. Due to some confusion Nisha readily accepts the offer thinking that she is going to marry Prem. But when she came to know about the reality she decides to stop the marriage. Then Prem tells her to make a sacrifice of their love for his elder brother’s happiness. But Rajesh came to know about the whole incident and in the end Prem and Nisha get married to each other.
