Ken Ghosh’s Ishq Vishk starring Shahid Kapoor, Amrita Rao and Shenaz Treasurywala in lead roles was released on May 9, 2003. The superhit music of the film was given by Anu Malik and the lyrics were written by none other than Sameer. The movie was proved out to a big hit at box office and a new dancing sensation Shahid Kapoor made his presence felt in bollywood.

The movie is all about realising the true love. Rajiv ( Shahid Kapoor ) and Payal ( Amrita Rao ) are close friends since childhood. Payal is in love with him but Rajiv on the other hands wants to be the most popular stud of the college. His friends mock him for not having any girlfriend in college. Rocky ( Yash Tonk ), the love guru of the college tells Rajiv to ask Payal for being his girlfriend. But when on a trip Rajiv misbehaves with Payal their relationship fall apart. Rajiv challenges every one that one day the most beautiful and sexy girl of the college will be her girlfriend.

Then a new student in the form of bold and beautiful Alisha Sahay ( Shenaz Treasurywala ) is enrolled in the college. Rajiv decides to make her his girlfriend and takes help of Rocky for this. He got succeed in his ambition but he starts realizing that Payal is the girl he is really in love with. Finally he tells Alisha that he’s really in love with Payal and can’t go alongwith her any more. Then in a party he apologizes to Payal for his misbehaviour and admits in front of all that he really loves her. Payal also accepts his love in the end.
