Bollywood actress Kajol was born on August 5, 1975 in Mumbai, India. She is a daughter of a renowned former bollywood actress Tanuja. Kajol is married to bollywood star Ajay Devgan. She began her acting career with 1992 released film Bekhudi. The movie however failed to do well at the box office and she remained unnoticed by people. But with her very next film titled Baazigar opposite Shahrukh Khan, she eventually shot to fame.

After that she was seen opposite Saif Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar in Yash Raj’s Yeh Dillagi. The movie did average business at the box office. Later alongwith King Khan, she went to deliver some big hit movie such as Karan Arjun, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai etc. She won Filmfare Award for Best Actress category for her splendid performnaces in the movies, DDLJ and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. She is also the first female actor to win the Filmfare Best Villain Award for her power packed performance in thriller Gupt.

She also gave some successful films opposite Ajay Devgan such as Ishq, Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha etc. But their onscreen was not appreciated in the films such as Dil Kya Kare, Raju Chacha and latest released U, Me Aur Hum. At the peak of her career she got married to Ajay and said goodbye to films. But after having a long gap from bollywood films, she finally made her comeback with Aamir Khan starrer Fanaa in the year 2007. She also managed to won Filmfare Award of Best Actress Category for her performance in the film.
