Satish Kaushik directed Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai was produced by Vashu Bhagnani and got released in the year 2001. Tusshar Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor did the lead roles in the film. Amrish Puri, Rinke Khanna and Dalip Tahil also did important roles in the film. The music of the movie was given by Anu Malik. The movie was the debut film of Tusshar Kapoor and also the very second film of Kareena Kapoor after Refugee.

The story of the movie revolves around Karan ( Tusshar Kapoor ) whose life changes when he sees his dream girl Pooja ( Kareena Kapoor ). He tries everything to find her but couldn’t. One day his father ( Dalip Tahil ) sends him to another city for some work. He unwillingly goes there and eventually finds the same girl Pooja while trying to get a lift for reaching his destination. But during the drive the car clashes with a truck and falls in a valley. In the process of saving Pooja’s life, Karan falls in the valley. Pooja considers herself responsible for Karan’s death.

But destiny plays it’s role, a man founds Karan and take him to a hospital. After getting well, he once again starts the search for Pooja and this time pooja finds him first. They starts a friendship and gets close to each other. He wants to confess his love to Pooja but finds that she is going to America for further studies. Now he has to decide what to do? Ultimately, true love wins.
