Bollywood singer Sunidhi Chauhan was born in Delhi on 14th August 1983. She did her schooling from Greenway Public School, Dilshad Garden. She started her singing career at the age of four by participating in a singing competition. She participated in many competitions after that. But the turning point of her career was the Doordarshan’s TV show titled Meri Aawaz Suno.

She made her debut in bollywood with the film titled Shastra but failed to attract the attention of audience with her voice. She got fame after rendering the hit song ‘Ruki ruki si zindagi‘ of Ram Goapl Verma’s Mast. Later she also crooned a song for Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s Mission Kashmir which was picturised on gorgeous Sushmita Sen. The she actually came in limelight after she bagged the R.D. Burman Filmfare Award for being the most promising newcomer.
