Famous bollywood actress Rani Mukherjee was born on March 21, 1978. She made her bollywood debut in year 1996 with the movie Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat. Film turned out to be superflop at box office and Rani decided to go back to her studies. She did her education from Mithibai College, Mumbai. Then in year 1988, she made a comeback in bollywood with Ghulam opposite Aamir Khan. The film did well at the box office and she got another movie in the form of Karan Johar’s directional debut Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Though Shahrukh Khan and Kajol did the lead roles in the film but Rani also managed to won Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Award for her performance.

She did many hit films after that such as Badal, Chori Chori Chupke Chupke, Saathiya etc. She actually won her first Filmfare Best Actress Award for her brillinat performance in Saathiya. In year 2003, she was seen in Aziz Mirza’s Chalte Chalte opposite King Khan. The film did exceptionally well at box office and earned her second nomination for Filmfare Best Actress Award.

Later she did films like Yuva, Hum Tum and Veer-Zaara and proved that she can do every kind of roles with ease as well as excellence. Then she did four consecutive movies in the year 2005 in the form of Black, Bunty Aur Bubbly, Paheli and Mangal Pandey : The Rising. Her next film Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna did well in overseas but failed to impress Indian audiences a bit. Her very next film Baabul also failed to perform well at box office. She gave three consecutive flop films in the year 2007 in the form of Ta Ra Rum Pum, Laaga Chunari Mein Daag and Saawariya.
