The romantic drama Aa Ab Laut Chalen was released on January 22, 1999 under the banner of R K Films. The movie was directed by Rishi Kapoor and produced by Rajiv Kapoor and Randhir Kapoor. The actors in the lead roles were Akshaye Khanna, Rajesh Khanna, Aishwarya Rai and Suman Ranganathan while the supporting roles were played by Kader Khan and Paresh Rawal. Music of the film was directed by Nadeem-Shravan and the songs were sung by Sonu Nigam, Bali Brahmabhatt, Saud Khan, Jaspinder Narula, Shabbir Kumar and Abhijeet.

The movie is also a love story with love triangle between Rohan (Akshaye Khanna ), Pooja (Aishwarya Rai ) and Loveleen (Suman Ranganathan ). Rohan, an unemployed Indian, comes to USA to stand on his feet and make some life for him and his family.

Rohan finds shelter with two people, a Pakistani Pathan named Sardar ( Kader Khan ) and a Hindustani Sikh named Iqbal ( Jaspal Bhatti ). Now Rohan wanted to settle here permanently and thus required the Green Card. For that he tried to impress a rich US gal and one day comes across Loveleen. Pooja knew that she was not a good lady and didn’t want him to get in her contact. While Rohan was trying his full to impress Loveleen, Pooja, being his good friend and also in love with him, was trying to pose problems.
